PAL - Sports & Games (5)

Warming up and recap of last week's lesson...

Instead of just walking in groups holding on to the hula hoop, the challenge was to hold the hula hoop as high as possible yet making sure it was within the reach of everyone. Many 1F children realised that their heights mattered a lot in this game. I was glad that the children resolved the issue on their own by adjusting the way they held the hula hoop, interacting with one another as they moved towards the finishing line. They were undaunted when challenged to walk with the hoop behind them.

Below was the favourite game of the day. The children took the initiative to increase the challenge of the game by adding more and more peers to the activity. I was delighted with their turn-taking and how they encouraged one another during the game.

The lesson ended with hopping and running. I loved the sounds of their running feet.
